Responding to the Press Award on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians

The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has just issued an official dispatch requesting the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Journalists Association, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Khanh Hoa Newspaper, Radio and Television to actively promote and participate in the 8th Press Award on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians - 2025 organized by the Hanoi Party Committee.

This is an activity to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025) and welcome the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, the 14th National Congress of the Party, and the 11th National Emulation Congress.

The 7th Press Award Ceremony on Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians - 2024.

The press works in the contest will focus on the main contents such as: The Hanoi Party Committee's policy on cultural development, building elegant and civilized Hanoians in the period of 2021-2025; propaganda about the position and role of culture in the sustainable development of the capital; outstanding results in implementing resolutions, programs on culture and codes of conduct of the City. The award also encourages reflection on typical examples, new models, good practices, achieving positive results, while constantly criticizing difficulties, inadequacies, negative manifestations or existing problems in this field.

The contestants are Vietnamese citizens whose press works are published in various types of press (print, electronic, radio, television, press photos), ensuring compliance with regulations on professional ethics and current laws. The time for publishing works is from August 11, 2024 to August 5, 2025. The deadline for receiving works is August 6, 2025 (according to the postmark).

The announcement and award ceremony is expected to be held in October 2025, with the award structure including: 1 Special prize (100 million VND), 3 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 10 C prizes and 15 Encouragement prizes for works; 2 "Excellent" prizes for typical press agencies.

The 8th Press Award on Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians - 2025 is implemented with the aim of building an advanced capital culture, imbued with national identity, inheriting and promoting the traditional cultural values of Thang Long - Hanoi. The city aims to build elegant and civilized Hanoians, develop cultural industries associated with preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values, thereby building the capital to truly be a major cultural center of the whole country.

In addition, the award also aims to raise awareness among cadres, reporters and editors about the importance of developing culture and building elegant and civilized Hanoians. This is an opportunity to encourage individuals and groups in the press industry to actively participate and make high-quality contributions to propaganda work, recognizing and praising excellent authors and press works with great influence. Thereby, the award contributes to realizing the major policies of the Party and the City Party Committee on culture, especially Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW of the Politburo and resolutions on developing cultural industries in the capital.
