Nam Dan district meets advanced new rural standards in 2024

According to the Decision, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Nghe An province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

Previously, Nam Dan district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting new rural standards in 2017. Immediately after meeting new rural standards at the district level, with the attention and support of the Central and the province, Nam Dan immediately started implementing the criteria for the district to meet advanced new rural standards.

By the end of 2024, Nam Dan district had 18/18 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards (100%); 15/18 communes were recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards (83.3%); 7/18 communes were recognized as meeting model new rural standards (38.9%); Nam Dan town met civilized urban standards.

Nam Dan district meets 9 criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural districts in the period 2021-2025. Average income per capita in 2024 will reach 67 million VND/year; the multidimensional poverty rate is 2.1%.

The basic regional infrastructure meets the production and daily life of the people. 100% of the basic construction investment projects of the Program are implemented in accordance with the procedures of the Law on Public Investment. Up to now, Nam Dan district has no outstanding basic construction debt in the implementation of the New Rural Program.

Based on the results of the inspection of the results of building an advanced new rural district, according to the assessment results of the Inspection Team proposing to consider recognizing Nam Dan district as meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2024, it has basically met the criteria according to Decision No. 320/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2022 of the Prime Minister.
