Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi H., Principal of Duong Dong Kindergarten, was disciplined with a reprimand for violations in organizing child care andeducation activities, and lack of responsibility in checking and supervising the classroom. In addition, Ms. H. was also slow in providing information and handling the situation, allowing the teacher's misconduct to occur as recorded in the clip extracted from the classroom camera and spread on social networks.
Along with the Principal, Ms. NTBT, Vice Principal, was also reprimanded for lack of responsibility in managing and supervising the teaching staff, slow information processing, and allowing ethical and professional violations to occur in the school environment.
Notably, four teachers, including Ms. TTH, NHN, LTXQ and NTDP, were disciplined with reprimands for inappropriate behavior towards children, violating professional procedures and ethics.
Previously, on March 22, social media appeared many clips recording a scene of a teacher at Duong Dong Kindergarten using his hands and strange objects to repeatedly hit children in the classroom. These images quickly spread, causing outrage in public opinion and making many parents worried and indignant.
After the incident was discovered, the teacher in the clip admitted her wrongdoing and proactively apologized to the student's family.
Phu Quoc City People's Committee said that after the verification and clarification process, the individuals involved were strictly handled according to regulations, and affirmed that they will strengthen inspection and supervision work in preschools in the area, to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
