Improving the quality of the Youth and Children's Creativity Competition in Dong Thap province

DTO - On the morning of May 16, at the Pho Sen Guest House Hall (Cao Lanh City), the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations held a Workshop to consult on solutions to improve the quality of the Youth and Children's Creativity Contest (referred to as the Contest) in Dong Thap province.

At the workshop, delegates shared many presentations on the coordination of organizing the Contest in Ben Tre, Tien Giang, An Giang , Tra Vinh provinces... In which, the role and importance of organizing the Contest in the past were clarified; the experience of some provinces in the Mekong Delta in organizing the Contest. At the same time, they pointed out the limitations, difficulties, inadequacies and issues arising in organizing the Contest. From there, they provided directions and proposed solutions to improve the quality of the Contest in the coming time...

In recent times, Dong Thap province has organized many different competitions to arouse the spirit of creativity and passion for research for teenagers and children such as: High School Science and Technology Competition and STEM Festival organized by the Department of Education and Training of Dong Thap province; Startup Ideas Competition, Startup and Innovation Competition organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Thap province... In which, Dong Thap Province Youth and Children's Creativity Competition is a useful playground, attracting the most participation of teenagers and has gone through the longest development process with more than 18 years of organization and has had thousands of models and products awarded at the Provincial Competition and hundreds of National awards.

The contest is co-organized by 4 agencies including: Dong Thap Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations - Standing Agency of the Contest Organizing Committee; Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Thap Province; Dong Thap Provincial Department of Education and Training; Dong Thap Provincial Department of Science and Technology.

The contest is held annually with the aim of finding, encouraging and honoring the creativity of students in the province. At the same time, it arouses the passion and creativity of the young generation, helping them nurture and light the flame of creative passion to become scientists and young inventors in the future...
