Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee surveyed the progress of Cao Lanh

DTO - On the afternoon of May 16, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang and leaders of provincial departments and branches inspected the construction progress of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway Construction Project, Phase 1, Component Project 1 (referred to as the Project).

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang spoke at the working session with construction units at the headquarters of the Cao Lanh District People's Committee.

According to the Dong Thap Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is currently accelerating construction. Accordingly, to ensure progress, the contractor has mobilized more than 300 engineers and workers, more than 140 pieces of equipment to organize the construction. Of which, the continuous floor beam section has completed 682/682 beam surfaces; the bridge substructure section has been completed; 72/77 spans of beams have been installed; the weak ground treatment with waterproofing wicks is 13.15/13.15km; the first phase of sand loading has reached 13.15km, and the second phase of loading is currently being carried out.

In addition, the contractor is analyzing the predicted settlement according to the usual design in the range of 1.0-2.0m depending on the geology of each section. According to statistics, the settlement monitoring data up to May 7, 2025, the average settlement reached about 60% of the required design settlement...

To speed up the progress, the Dong Thap Traffic Construction Project Management Board coordinated with construction units to implement a solution to reduce the waiting time for loading from phase 1 to phase 2. Currently, this solution has been applied to some sections that have achieved over 60% consolidation and are being monitored. In addition, the cement-soil pile cushion layer has been adjusted from cement-reinforced sand layer to geotechnical grid. Adjust the roadbed structure from cement-reinforced layers to crushed stone aggregate...

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang requested the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment and Project Management Board to review the capital structure for the Project so that the Provincial People's Committee can propose to the Provincial Party Committee to approve the advance payment from the budget to ease the construction work. The contractor needs to provide settlement monitoring data to the Design Consultant so that this unit can serve as a basis to shorten the construction sequence and speed up the progress. In addition, the total amount of sand must be supplied to ensure the loading. Regarding stone materials, the province will have a working session with localities with stone quarries to create initiative for the project construction in the coming time...
