The district has achieved many important achievements in the development process, including being recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2022 and being one of two localities in the province to complete the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction the earliest. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged and praised the achievements of Chau Duc district over the past 30 years. Chau Duc has overcome many challenges and from a purely agricultural district, has now become a comprehensively developed area, with many proud achievements.
The Provincial Party Secretary said that after 2030, Chau Duc is expected to play an important role on the industrial - urban - service corridor axis.
The Provincial Party Secretary said that according to the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050, Chau Duc district is expected to become a dynamic economic area with advanced processing industries, modern services, and sustainable ecological agriculture.
In particular, the planning for 2035 expects the district to have four urban areas. Therefore, the locality needs to accelerate the process of economic restructuring, increase the proportion of industry, trade, and services, while maintaining and developing the agricultural buffer zone.
Chau Duc is the district with the most special apricot street in the country. Every Tet holiday, apricot blossoms bloom all over the street corner, attracting tourists to the locality.
At the same time, the Southern region is currently implementing a series of traffic projects connecting Ba Ria - Vung Tau with many provinces and cities in the region, this will also be an advantage for Chau Duc. Currently, asphalt and concrete roads reach all the way to the alleys of houses, flowers also cover many places to help people travel more conveniently.
In particular, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 will connect Ba Ria - Vung Tau with Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City provinces, plus the expressway system connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, and the North-South expressway, along with Long Thanh airport, will play an important role in local economic development.

From these major routes, after 2030 Chau Duc is expected to play an important role on the industrial - urban - service corridor from Tay Ninh to Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port and Vung Tau city.
This is also a purely agricultural area with vast rice fields.
“The district needs to focus on completing the transport infrastructure system, especially key projects and national and provincial highways. At the same time, the district also needs to promote digital transformation, reform administrative procedures, improve the investment environment, and attract strategic investors in the fields of high-tech industry, green industry, and clean energy. Developing products that meet OCOP standards and high-tech production models also needs to be focused on to increase the value of agricultural products and ensure sustainable income for farmers,” said Mr. Pham Viet Thanh.
