Hyundai Tucson 2026 revealed completely new, full of off-road features

The new generation Hyundai Tucson, internally codenamed NX5, has just been revealed as a prototype running tests in Europe, specifically near the Hyundai Technical Center in Germany.

The 2026 Hyundai Tucson has a completely new, powerful and modern design, combining sharp sculpted lines with retro inspiration from concept cars such as the Hyundai N Vision 74 and the NEXO electric car.

The notable highlight lies in the bold off-road style, reminiscent of the rugged, luxurious features of Land Rover models, showing that the 2026 Hyundai Tucson SUV is not only aimed at urban customers but also emphasizes the ability to conquer multiple terrains.

The interior of the new generation Tucson will be a big step forward in digital experience with the launch of the all-new Pleos OS. The interface is designed to be as modern as a smartphone, displayed on a 16:9 widescreen, and integrated with the Pleos Playground application store to help users interact and entertain right in the car cabin.

Another technological highlight on the 2026 Hyundai Tucson is the level 2.5 self-driving system, combined with the intelligent virtual assistant "Gleo" - an interactive voice interface similar to ChatGPT, supporting navigation, entertainment and natural vehicle control tasks.

In terms of transmission, Hyundai will officially kill the diesel engine on the 2026 Tucson, replacing it with two hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options.

In particular, the PHEV version is expected to have a pure electric range of up to 100 km, meeting the need for zero-emission travel in urban areas and short trips.

The Hyundai NX5 is expected to be introduced in the third quarter of 2026, most likely at the same time as the new-generation Avante. The starting price is estimated at around 34 million won (equivalent to 24,000 USD), applicable to hybrid versions.

This C-class SUV is expected to launch globally in the third quarter of 2026 and is considered one of Hyundai's key projects in the coming period.
