Dinh Hing is a 4th grade student at Dinh Nup Primary and Secondary School (Po To Commune). Hing’s family is one of the poor households in the commune. The family’s previous house, which was over 10 square meters wide, was dilapidated but they had no money to repair it. Knowing Hing’s family’s situation, teacher Tung used the “Zero-VND Bread Cabinet” fund to support the family to build a new, spacious and solid house.
After 10 days of construction, the house was completed with an area of 60 m2, with a total cost of nearly 80 million VND sponsored by "Zero-VND Bread Cabinet"; Po To Commune Youth Union supported 20 working days.
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Tung congratulated and encouraged the family to work hard, rise out of poverty, and pay special attention to their children's education, not letting them drop out of school. On this occasion, the philanthropist gave Dinh Hing's family some household items such as electric fans, rice cookers, mattresses, etc.
It is known that before supporting the construction of a new house, Mr. Tung gave Dinh Hing's family a breeding cow; supported Hing's younger brother to go to the hospital for examination and treatment of cancer. However, due to a serious illness, Hing's younger brother passed away in 2023. The house handed over to Hing's family is the second shelter "Zero-dong Bread Cabinet" has implemented on the journey to support poor students.
