From July 1, 2025, Vietnamese people who have been granted personal identification numbers under the provisions of the Citizen Identification Law will use this number instead of the tax code in transactions with tax authorities. Households, business households, and business individuals will also use the identification number of their representative to fulfill tax obligations instead of using the tax code as at present.
