“The ecosystem is one of the key factors that determine the success of Vision Pro. This includes integrating Vision Pro with the company's other hardware products through WiFi and Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology,” Kuo said in a Twitter post.
Kuo also added that Apple will upgrade the Ultra Wideband chip inside the iPhone 15. This will help the product increase connectivity, speed as well as ensure energy efficiency when used with Vision Pro glasses.
Currently, Apple products are equipped with the Ultra Wideband U1 chip. This chip first appeared from the iPhone 11 series and some other products including AirTag, AirPods Pro, Apple Watch Series 6 and later, HomePod and HomePod Mini.
It is expected that iPhone 15 will be sold in 4 versions, including iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The launch date is next September.
