Prime Minister Netanyahu denied that Israel would cease fire with Hamas, declaring that it would be tantamount to surrendering to the organization.
"I want to make clear Israel's position on the ceasefire. Just as the United States did not agree to a ceasefire after Pearl Harbor or the September 11 attacks, Israel will not agree to an end to its campaign against Hamas," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a press conference on October 30.
Netanyahu said that after the October 7 attack, "calls for a ceasefire are tantamount to calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas" and declared that this would not happen. The Israeli Prime Minister affirmed that Israel will continue to fight against rival armed groups until victory and called on countries around the world to support it.

Prime Minister Netanyahu accused Hamas of using civilians as human shields "so that the international community can blame Israel". He said Hamas would continue to use its command post located in a tunnel system under a hospital in the Gaza Strip, and use mosques as military bases and weapons depots.
Hamas has not commented on the Israeli Prime Minister's information.
In a meeting with Israeli officials earlier in the day, Netanyahu said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had expanded its incursion into the Gaza Strip and made "systemic progress."
Israel intensified its airstrikes and expanded its ground operations in the Gaza Strip over the weekend. The IDF announced on October 30 that it had killed dozens of militants in the Gaza Strip overnight. Hamas officials later said members of the group had intercepted and forced an Israeli tank unit to withdraw from the outskirts of Gaza City.
The fighting has so far left more than 9,400 people dead and more than 25,600 injured on both sides.
