(CLO) At least 25 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to medical staff.
At least eight people were killed in an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp and 10 others, including seven children, in the town of Jabalia. Mediators have yet to reach a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Hamas militant group after more than a year of conflict.

Israel has faced heavy international criticism over the unprecedented level of civilian casualties and dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza. Israel says it is only attacking militants and blames Hamas for civilian deaths because its militants operate in residential areas.
Gaza authorities say the Israeli campaign has killed more than 45,000 Palestinians and displaced most of the 2.3 million population. Much of the coastal area is now in ruins.
