According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus will make an official offer to Manchester United this week, after negotiations between the two clubs took a positive turn. To convince Manchester United, Juventus will include midfielder Douglas Luiz in the deal as part of the exchange deal, while also paying an additional amount of around £25 million.
Luiz moved to Juventus from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024 but struggled to settle in Serie A. The move not only helped Juventus reduce the transfer fee but also created conditions for the Brazilian midfielder to seek a return to the Premier League, where he once made his name.
MU's board of directors and coach Ruben Amorim are also quite excited about this plan, as the "Red Devils" need to add new players in the midfield to replace the aging Casemiro. The Old Trafford team wants to liquidate Sancho as soon as possible, because the player is earning more than 200,000 pounds/week.
The 24-year-old winger will spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Chelsea, but will not be able to buy. Sancho is no longer in Amorim's plans. The MU board were worried that they would have to spend millions of pounds to compensate for the contract, or pay part of Sancho's salary if they wanted the player to leave Old Trafford this summer.
