The conference on connecting the consumption of agricultural products and handicraft specialties of Quang Dien commune in 2025 was organized by the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Hue City in coordination with Quang Dien commune on the afternoon of August 16. The program attracted 20 enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments in Hue City and 4 distributors, supermarkets, and e-commerce platforms to participate. The event aims to introduce and promote strong products; at the same time, create a bridge between production establishments and consumption markets, contributing to increasing income for local people.

The conference received many enthusiastic opinions from businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities. Most of them said that this is an opportunity for agricultural products, specialties, and handicrafts of Quang Dien as well as Hue City to be displayed and introduced more widely. However, the biggest concern of the units is still stable output, so that the products can access the supermarket system, e-commerce platforms and reach a large number of consumers.
Mr. Ngo Minh Hieu - Director of Quang Phu Agricultural Processing Cooperative expressed: "The cooperatives really hope to connect to better implement the product introduction and consumption stages. This is still a problem that we are still confused about, and we really need timely companionship and support."
Sharing the same concern, Ms. Ho Thi Khanh Ngoc - Director of Ngoc Phuong Essential Oil Production Trading Service Co., Ltd. said: “In the past, there were times when handmade products were made but had no market, only small-scale consumption, leading to inventory. Thanks to the support of local authorities and the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Hue City, the market has gradually stabilized. Currently, the company's cajuput essential oil products are available in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quang Tri, Hue and exported to Laos”.
Mr. Nguyen Duc May - Director of Kinh Do Specialty Joint Stock Company emphasized: "Enterprises not only need a legal basis for each product, but must also pay special attention to quality, design, and standard packaging. It is very necessary to proactively connect with distributors and local authorities for timely support."

In recent years, implementing the industrial promotion program and restructuring the agricultural sector, the locality has mobilized many resources to support production facilities such as investing in machinery and technology; supporting brand building; improving designs and packaging; encouraging the application of advanced technology... Thanks to that, many products of Quang Dien have gradually affirmed their position in the market", said Mr. Nguyen Anh Cau - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Dien commune.
However, Mr. Cau also frankly acknowledged that product consumption is still small-scale and unstable; the situation of "good harvest, low price" has not been completely overcome; the value chain linkage is not sustainable; trade promotion activities and supply-demand connection are still limited. Therefore, this conference focuses on removing three key "bottlenecks": product promotion - consumption connection - expanding long-term cooperation.

This is the basis for improving competitiveness and increasing the ability to participate in modern supply chains. At the same time, it is necessary to further promote the role of local authorities in accompanying, connecting and creating conditions for businesses and cooperatives to develop product brands associated with tourism - services.

In fact, Hue’s agricultural products, specialties, and handicrafts in general and Quang Dien in particular have already established a position thanks to their quality and identity. However, to maintain and expand the market, in addition to safety and quality, production units need to pay more attention to branding, packaging, and product stories. Because today’s consumers do not just buy a product, but also buy a cultural experience and buy a difference.
Along with that, the trend of green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly consumption is becoming more and more popular.
