The 13th Party Congress of Phuoc Long Commune, term 2025-2030, took place in the context of the country facing new requirements and tasks of the integration and development process. The draft Resolution of the 13th National Congress for the 2025-2030 term clearly defines the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", one of the key goals set is to strive to build Phuoc Long commune to meet advanced NTM standards by 2027 and modern NTM standards by 2030. This is both a specific goal and an important measure to evaluate the leadership and direction of the entire political system and the consensus and joint efforts of the people.

With the goal of rapid and sustainable development, the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Phuoc Long Commune Party Committee sets out 19 targets, notably: Average income per capita by 2030 will reach 130 million VND/year; the poverty rate will decrease by an average of 0.5% per year; 100% of the population will participate in health insurance, 45% of working-age people will participate in social insurance, of which 6% will participate voluntarily. The commune is also determined to create at least 7 OCOP products with 3 stars or more.

Party building work continues to be focused on with the annual goal of the Party Committee completing its tasks well or better, 85% of Party cells and grassroots Party Committees completing their tasks well, of which at least 45% achieve the title of "4-Good Party Cell" and "4-Good Grassroots Party Committee".

Comrade Tran Duong Thuan, Secretary of the Phuoc Long Commune Party Committee, said: “To successfully achieve the above goals and targets, the congress identified two breakthroughs: Improving the quality of the staff to meet the requirements of the new administrative organization, associated with promoting digital transformation in the political system and social life, strongly developing sustainable agricultural production, in which 70% of the coconut area is converted to organic production, completing the infrastructure of Con Oc Tourist Area, making community tourism and green tourism a new economic sector, applying modern technology in product development and local promotion”.

Phuoc Long Commune Party Committee was officially established on July 1, 2025 according to Decision No. 1614-QD/TU of the Standing Committee of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, including 35 grassroots party organizations with 811 party members, marking an important step in organizational development, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
