Slaughterhouse inspection results for CP Fresh Shop in Soc Trang

On June 4, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province announced the initial inspection results of the provincial interdisciplinary team at the pig slaughterhouse for CP Fresh Shop stores in the area.

Soc Trang province's interdisciplinary delegation inspected the slaughterhouse.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 3, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Soc Trang province inspected the slaughterhouse at Cho Cu hamlet, My Xuyen town, My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province (owned by Ms. Huynh Thi Ba). This is a slaughterhouse that processes meat for 4 CP Fresh Shop stores (of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company) in Soc Trang province.

According to the inspection team, the slaughterhouse slaughters an average of 30-40 pigs per day, of which 8-11 pigs belong to CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company per day. The pigs are imported from CP Long Thanh warehouse (Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province) of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company.

At the time of inspection, 11 pigs were imported to the slaughterhouse by CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company. The slaughterhouse provided a Certificate of Animal Quarantine for transporting animals out of the province (issued by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, and Aquatic Products of Hau Giang province on June 3, 2025).

Through inspection, the interdisciplinary team concluded that the slaughterhouse had a complete Certificate of Business Registration (registered for the second change on April 14, 2025); Commitment to produce and trade safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products (January 14, 2025); the origin of slaughtered pigs of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company had a Certificate of animal quarantine for transportation out of the provincial area according to regulations; the slaughterhouse had a livestock slaughtering service contract with CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (signed on January 1, 2025).

In addition, the inspection team also took blood samples from pigs at the slaughterhouse to send to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Region VII for disease testing (African swine fever, classical swine fever and blue ear disease), and is waiting for the test results to be sent back.
