Quang Tri town police have investigated, verified and confirmed that the information about a strange woman luring students to pick up students at Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School is incorrect.


On February 7, information from the Quang Tri Town Police, Quang Tri Province, said that they had verified the information about a strange woman luring and picking up students at Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School (Quang Tri Town).

Previously, information spread on social networks about a strange woman standing in front of the gate of Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School (Quang Tri town) to entice students to pick up.

According to this information, on February 4, after school, a student named GT, grade 6, Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School, met a strange woman in the school yard who wanted to take the student home. However, after seeing GT's parents come to pick him up, the woman left.

When information about a strange woman luring students to pick up appeared on social networks, it attracted public attention and concern.

Upon receiving the information, Quang Tri Town Police began to investigate. The results of the investigation confirmed that the information about a strange woman luring students to pick up students at Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School was incorrect.

Specifically, on February 4, a woman (name withheld) came to Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School to pick up her child, but the child had already gone home. At that time, the woman spoke to GT but had no bad intentions. After that, the woman left.

Receiving the above information from parents, the Facebook page of Nguyen Tat Thanh Primary and Secondary School posted an article to warn people to be vigilant when picking up and dropping off their children. However, this information was later spread widely, causing public concern.

Through this incident, Quang Tri Town Police acknowledged the high level of vigilance of the school and parents to ensure school security. However, Quang Tri Town Police requested that when schools and parents have information related to security and order, they need to coordinate with the police and local authorities to verify and clarify before widely informing, to avoid affecting public opinion.
