Officers and members of Coc Pang Border Guard Station participated in the general cleaning of the memorial house of Coc Pang commune's martyrs.
Currently, along the entire border of Cao Bang province, there are 32 relatives of martyrs (including 12 mothers of martyrs) whose husbands and children died in the resistance war against the US to save the country and the war to protect the northern border, who are being regularly cared for by Border Guard units. In recent years, promoting the core role in mass mobilization work, the Party Committee of the Border Guard of Cao Bang province has implemented many practical activities to show gratitude to those who have contributed to the country. Not only on the occasion of Tet, spring or major holidays such as July 27 - War Invalids and Martyrs Day, but also in daily life, border guards regularly take care of and support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; visit, care for the lives, give gifts of gratitude, support medical examination, house repair, house cleaning... for families with preferential policies, showing gratitude to the relatives of martyrs as filial children in the family. Without noise or ostentation, their affectionate gestures are like small fires warming every home, every life, and silently continuing to write pages of history with their simple yet touching actions, a beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people at the Fatherland's border.
Major Nguyen Vu Le - Deputy Political Commissar of Ta Lung International Border Guard Station shared: “Implementing the direction of the Provincial Border Guard Command on the work of gratitude, the Party Committee of the station has developed a specific plan, assigned departments to coordinate with local authorities to organize activities to visit and give gifts to policy families and meritorious people in the area. Especially on special occasions such as July 27, these activities not only demonstrate the traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" but also contribute to fostering military-civilian sentiment, consolidating the strong people's heart position at the border".
Duc Long Border Guard Station visited and presented gifts to Mrs. Luong Thi Lu (wife of a martyr) on the occasion of July 27.
In Duc Long commune (Thach An district), Mrs. Luong Thi Lu - Wife of a martyr who sacrificed in the resistance war to protect the northern border. She is always moved every July 27 when she welcomes the Border Guard soldiers like children returning from far away. This year, although she is 83 years old, her eyes are dim, her hands are weak, but every time she welcomes the Duc Long Border Guard soldiers to visit, she still tries to stand up, her voice is deep and full of emotion: "You guys come back like this, I am very happy. I am still healthy, I can eat... you can work with peace of mind!" Her thin, trembling hands receive the bouquet of flowers from the young soldier, her eyes shining with joy, making everyone who hears it choke with emotion.
At residential group 10, Phuc Hoa commune (Quang Hoa district), Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vuong Thi Doi (86 years old). Mother Doi lost her husband in the resistance war against the US and her only son also sacrificed himself in the construction and protection of the northern border in 1981. Every time she saw the border guards come to visit, she quietly wiped away her tears, as if seeing the image of a loved one in her memory: "Thank you... I'm still healthy, I'm very happy to see you back. I wish you always good health, to do your work well". Mother Doi said, her voice lost in nameless emotions.
For young officers and soldiers, each time they visit their mothers and grandmothers, they learn a profound lesson about patriotism, about their noble and silent sacrifices, and about human morality. Senior Lieutenant Dinh Viet Thi, a young border guard, confided: “Visiting our mothers, hearing their stories and silent sacrifices, we understand more deeply about our responsibilities, patriotism, and the morality of “When drinking water, remember its source” and always remind ourselves to live and work more worthily so as not to let down the sacrifices of previous generations.”

Health check-up for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vuong Thi Doi on the occasion of July 27.
Every July 27, along with visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs, and heroic Vietnamese mothers, officers and soldiers of border posts also regularly help families with meritorious services clean their houses, repair roofs, examine and provide medicine for women and mothers... like filial children. In remote villages, having to travel dozens of kilometers of mountain roads, comrades still do not mind the difficulties, just hoping to contribute a small part of their efforts to ease the irreplaceable losses. It is these acts of kindness that have contributed to brightening the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people, an invisible but extremely strong bond connecting the army and people at the Fatherland's border. Behind each gift, each greeting is a warm heart, a deep gratitude for those who have sacrificed their blood and bones for national independence. Those experiences have nurtured the souls of the border soldiers, helping them to be more steadfast in the hardships of the frontier, giving them more strength to stay in their villages and people, and to protect every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland.
The love between the army and the people at the Cao Bang border is not only shown through silent feats and battles to protect the border, but also spreads in every small gesture full of love, every look and smile between the soldiers and the people, especially the heroic Vietnamese mothers. It is a wordless epic, a continuation of tradition, a bridge connecting flesh and blood between the armed forces and the people of all ethnic groups - a lasting, sacred value that cannot be replaced. The humane actions of the Cao Bang Border Guard have contributed to spreading good values in community life, arousing a sense of responsibility and gratitude in the young generation and the whole society.
