"I have been to China a total of 30 times and always feel excited and surprised by the natural landscapes, ancient wonders, and modern architectural works and scientific products in this country.

In 2024 alone, I will spend about 300 million VND to go to China once a month to explore the provinces and cities at the most beautiful time of the year," said Mr. Truong.

Mr. Truong's most impressive trip in China in 2024 is the 7-day Zhengzhou - Kaifeng Palace - Luoyang - Shaolin Temple - Xi'an tour, costing about 25 million VND.

"It has been more than 5 years since the Covid-19 pandemic that this tour has been organized again. The departure date even had to be postponed twice due to lack of customers.

However, I am very excited because the locations on the tour are associated with classic Chinese films that have captivated generations such as Bao Qing Tian, Emperor Qin Shi Huang, Wu Zetian, Shaolin Temple Legend...", said Mr. Truong.

The most impressive destination for Mr. Truong on the tour was Kaifeng Prefecture (Henan, China) - a famous cultural and historical site, associated with the fair and honest trials of Bao Qingtian (Bao Gong).

Kaifeng Palace was restored on an area of more than 4 hectares, including courtyards, citadels, government offices, courtrooms, workplaces for lower-ranking officials, rest houses for officials, ministers, soldiers, etc.

The prison holds prisoners awaiting trial, divided into two areas for men and women. Inside, shackles and prison cars have been recreated in detail for visitors to see.

"Bao Qing Tian is a famous film, deeply imprinted in the minds of the audience. Therefore, when I came here and directly saw the majesty of Kaifeng Palace, I felt a bit 'chill'. Many details in the film seemed to appear", Mr. Truong said.

Inside the courthouse, there are the dog-head beheading, tiger-head beheading and dragon-head beheading - the execution tools that often appear in famous movies. Outside the palace, there is a drum that cries out for injustice.

Visitors to Kaifeng Prefecture can watch plays such as Bao Gong's trial, Bao Gong's patrol, or scenes reenacting ancient people's lives.

Also on this tour, Mr. Truong went to Shaolin Temple - a temple in Tung Son, Dang Phong district, Zhengzhou city, Henan province, which appeared in the novels of the late writer Kim Dung and a series of famous martial arts films.

Shaolin Temple is home to the famous martial arts school of the same name. With a history of more than 1,500 years, the complex is recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.

Mr. Truong was very impressed when he visited the Sutra Library, where precious books on Buddhism and martial arts were kept. In the Sutra Library, in the middle was a reclining Buddha statue, surrounded by large cabinets storing sutras.

When arriving at Shaolin Temple, in addition to sightseeing, Mr. Truong was also eager to experience learning martial arts with the young masters. Mr. Truong experienced learning basic martial arts moves and meditating with the young monks in the temple.

Currently, the temple has opened several areas for visitors such as the Sutra Library, the Heavenly King Hall, the Heavenly Buddha Hall, and the Great Hero Hall. The entrance fee is 100 yuan (about 350,000 VND) per visitor.

During his 12 trips in 2024, Mr. Truong also experienced China's modern transportation system such as upside-down glass-bottomed trains, driverless taxis in Wuhan, high-speed maglev trains in Shanghai,...

"The smart transportation network in China is very developed, not only serving convenient and fast travel but also bringing new experiences, like in science fiction movies, to tourists," said Mr. Truong.

Experience driverless taxis in Wuhan.

While visiting Zhangjiajie National Park in Hunan Province, Mr. Truong had a "heart-stopping" experience with the Bailong outdoor elevator system, which is more than 300m above sea level, and is considered the Eiffel Tower of China.

The project has set a series of Guinness records: the world's tallest outdoor elevator, the tallest 2-story sightseeing elevator, and the fastest passenger elevator with the largest capacity (about 40 people).

It only takes about 1.5 minutes for visitors to reach the top of the mountain instead of 2.5 hours of climbing. From the top, through the transparent glass door, Mr. Truong can admire the spectacular view of the park, which was used as the setting for the movie Avatar.

Vietnamese tourists 'shudder' when riding upside-down suspension train, driverless taxi in Wuhan Riding an upside-down suspension train with a 270-degree view and a driverless taxi are two "science fiction" experiences of Mr. Truong during his recent trip to Wuhan (China).
