Speaking at the opening of the Fair, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien emphasized: The Vietnam International Agricultural Fair 2024 will be an opportunity to introduce the potential and strengths in general and of the agricultural sector in particular of the Mekong Delta provinces to associations, businesses, and domestic and foreign investors. Believing that the Fair will be an effective bridge, an important trade promotion channel creating conditions for localities, economic organizations, and businesses to seek business cooperation opportunities, expand the consumption and export markets of agricultural products, exchange and sign many high-value trade contracts, creating opportunities for building and enhancing the value of agricultural product brands to expand and develop exports, trade exchanges, stimulate consumption, and promote the regional and international integration process of Vietnamese enterprises.

The Vietnam International Agricultural Fair is an annual event organized by Can Tho City since 1997. Through many times of organization, the Fair has contributed to promoting trade promotion activities, strengthening trade connections, cooperation in developing high-tech agriculture, creating conditions for businesses to promote their brands, expand markets, honor the value of agricultural, forestry, aquatic and seafood products and introduce scientific advances and new achievements in agricultural production.

The 2024 Vietnam International Agricultural Fair is organized under the direction of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, taking place from November 1 to 5. The fair attracts over 400 booths of more than 100 business units, promotion centers, departments of provinces and cities across the country and international companies from Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan...

Localities and businesses will introduce at the fair: machinery and equipment, production lines, agricultural mechanical engineering; agricultural materials, plant varieties; processed agricultural products; clean and safe agricultural product models; local specialties; exhibition of achievements in clean and safe agricultural product production of countries, provinces and cities across the country.

Within the framework of the Fair, many programs and activities will also take place: a seminar introducing Ecobiznet's microbial products in the agricultural sector in Vietnam; a conference to announce the planning of the agricultural sector integrated into the planning of Can Tho city for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; Can Tho 2024 agricultural technology and equipment market - TechAgri Can Tho 2024...

Signing of a memorandum of understanding on trade and investment promotion cooperation between Can Tho city, An Giang province and Dong Thap province

During the opening ceremony of the Fair, a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in trade and investment promotion between three localities: Can Tho, An Giang and Dong Thap took place, in the spirit of implementing the agreement on socio-economic development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta, emphasizing the enhancement of regional linkages in trade and investment promotion.

This Memorandum of Understanding will be the basis for the 3 Promotion Centers of the 3 provinces and cities to unify cooperation activities, support each other and promote strengths, potentials, and promote socio-economic development of the 3 localities. The cooperation content focuses on accompanying, chairing, coordinating and participating in trade promotion and investment promotion activities in the program of linking and cooperating in socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region to support businesses of each locality to promote and expand investment and business cooperation relations.
