100 businesses and units participate in the 2024 Agricultural Fair in Can Tho, signing cooperation agreements on production and business

The 2024 Agricultural Fair in Can Tho City attracts about 400 booths of 100 units and enterprises from provinces and cities in the country such as: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, An Giang, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Quang Ninh, Dong Thap, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

On the morning of November 1, at the Investment - Trade Promotion Center and Exhibition Fair of Can Tho City, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Agricultural Fair took place. This is an important event of the year directed by the People's Committee of Can Tho City.

The 2024 Agricultural Fair in Can Tho City attracts about 400 booths of 100 units and enterprises from provinces and cities in the country such as: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, An Giang, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Quang Ninh, Dong Thap, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Here, businesses and units introduced high-tech agricultural machinery and equipment, production and processing lines and auxiliary products; agricultural materials; post-harvest preservation techniques; processed agricultural, forestry and fishery products; local and national specialties.

The highlight of this year’s Agricultural Fair is the machinery and equipment products serving high-tech agricultural production displayed and introduced by international enterprises, joint ventures from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, etc. Because high-tech agricultural production is also one of the important fields, included by Can Tho City in the city planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

In addition to the opening ceremony, important activities will also take place within the framework of the fair, such as the conference "Announcing the planning of the agricultural and rural development sector of Can Tho City for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050"; the workshop "Introducing Ecobiznet's microbial products in the agricultural sector in Vietnam"; displaying technology products and specialized agricultural equipment in Can Tho 2024 - Tech4Agri Can Tho 2024.

On this occasion, the Center for Investment - Trade Promotion and Exhibition Fair of Can Tho City signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion of Dong Thap province and the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion of An Giang province, to promote regional linkage activities.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Duyen - Director of the Center for Investment - Trade Promotion and Exhibition Fair of Can Tho City said that the 2024 Agricultural Fair aims to contribute to promoting trade promotion activities and cooperation in developing high-tech agriculture. Through the event, Can Tho City also hopes to create a space for businesses to meet, exchange, share experiences and seek cooperation opportunities.

It is important to support businesses in promoting their brands, boosting the export of agricultural, forestry, aquatic and seafood products and introducing new scientific advances and achievements in agricultural production in the Mekong Delta and the whole country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien - Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee shared that with the preparation efforts of the organizing committee, he believes that the 2024 Agricultural Fair will create conditions for localities, economic organizations, and enterprises to seek business cooperation opportunities, expand consumption markets and export agricultural products.

Thereby, signing many high-value trade contracts, stimulating consumption, promoting the regional and world integration process for Vietnamese enterprises.

The 2024 Agricultural Fair in Can Tho City will take place until November 5.
