Attending the festival were comrade Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders, former leaders of the province and tens of thousands of people and tourists.


At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh informed the public, tourists and delegates about the achievements and values of Gia Lai land after the merger between Binh Dinh coastal area and Gia Lai great forest.

According to Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Gia Lai is blessed with a long coastline, white sand, clear blue water, and majestic basalt mountains and forests. This is also a land rich in cultural - historical - revolutionary traditions. Gia Lai is also famous for the art of tuong, bai choi, Gia Rai and Ba Na community culture and especially the Central Highlands gong cultural space - an intangible cultural heritage.


Not only rich in cultural identity, Gia Lai is also a leading locality in catching and processing seafood, especially ocean tuna, accounting for more than 60% of the country's output, along with key agricultural products such as coffee, rubber, durian, pepper...
The province's processed products increasingly meet export standards to the EU and many international markets, contributing to promoting the processing industry to account for an increasingly high proportion in the economy .
The festival "The Quintessence of the Great Forest - The Convergence of the Blue Sea" is an opportunity to honor and promote the cultural values, heritage and development potential of Gia Lai, while connecting the image of a dynamic and integrated Gia Lai with domestic and foreign friends.

This year's festival takes place with many special activities such as: Bài Chòi performance, Central Highlands gongs, culinary festival "Delicious dishes from Bazan land and the sea", OCOP product display, traditional craft villages, street festival, light festival and fireworks display...
