Strengthening the core movement team
In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Culture and Exhibition, said that the training course aims to improve the efficiency of the activities of ethnic cultural and artistic clubs and groups, and strengthen the core team of the movement. At the same time, it provides professional training suitable for the new situation for cultural specialists at the grassroots level.
This is also a force that plays an important role in building mass cultural activities, preserving and promoting traditional art forms, contributing to improving spiritual and cultural life, developing creativity and promoting cultural exchange in the community.
The class took place from June 11-27, 2025, with the participation of nearly 100 students who are professional officers, movement officers, members of clubs - teams at the system of Cultural - Sports Centers, Cultural - Sports and Media Centers from Thu Duc City and 21 districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program content is systematically built with 6 theoretical and practical topics, focusing on two main contents: folk singing skills of 3 regions and exhibition image explanation skills in propaganda work.
Folk singing topics are directly instructed by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Liem - Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Music Association and Master Pham Thi Kim Thoa - Vocal Lecturer of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.
Students will learn an overview of folk songs from three regions, practice vocal skills, singing techniques specific to each region (North, Central, South), practice staging folk songs and build a mass art performance program applying folk songs from three regions.
In addition, the topic "Exhibition of exhibition images in propaganda work" is in charge of Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang - Head of SkillsEducation and Psychological Counseling Department, Ho Chi Minh City Children's House.

Promoting the role of grassroots cultural cadres
The organization of the training course demonstrates the interest and investment of the Ho Chi Minh City cultural sector in training and fostering local cultural human resources.
In the context of increasingly rich cultural and spiritual life, grassroots cultural cadres play a core role in maintaining and developing mass cultural activities, orienting aesthetics and improving the level of art appreciation in the community.
Through the course, students are not only equipped with professional knowledge and skills but also have the opportunity to exchange, learn, improve creativity, and organize cultural and artistic activities at the facility.
This is also an opportunity to form a core movement team capable of guiding the community, schools, and local cultural units, contributing to preserving and spreading traditional cultural values of the nation.
At the end of the course, students will participate in a performance program to present a final report and receive a certificate, scheduled to take place on June 27, 2025.
The performance program is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning results through folk songs that have been practiced and staged during the learning process, and at the same time introduce products to explain exhibition images, contributing to creating a ripple effect to the community.
The class “Training in folk singing skills of 3 regions and explaining exhibition images” is expected to make a practical contribution to improving the quality of cultural and artistic activities in Ho Chi Minh City, preserving and promoting national cultural identity in modern life.
