Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the provincial Fatherland Front , leaders of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, leaders of Nam Po district, and representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade of 6 northern Lao provinces.

The fair took place from June 10 to 15, with the participation of nearly 20 organizations, businesses, and traders from Vietnam and Laos with more than 30 booths, providing essential goods for production and consumption of the people such as: Food, processed food; garments, fashion ; consumer goods, household appliances; books, stationery; chemicals, cosmetics; telecommunications services.

The market is an important political, economic and social event, contributing to promoting the friendly relations and cooperation in developing border trade between Dien Bien province and the northern provinces of Laos; the people in the border areas of Samphanh, Muang May and Phongsaly districts of Phongsaly province with the people of Nam Po, Muong Cha and Muong Nhe districts of Dien Bien province.

This is an opportunity for people of Vietnam and Laos to have more choices when purchasing good quality goods at reasonable prices, contributing to promoting distribution channels in mountainous and border markets; at the same time, it is an opportunity for businesses of both sides to meet, exchange information, promote and introduce products, as well as establish and sign cooperation programs, production, business, import and export of goods. This is also one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Nam Po district (June 23, 2013 / June 23, 2023).

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the fair mobilized kind-hearted businesses to support 10 gifts, giving them to students with especially difficult circumstances and high academic achievements in Na Hy commune, Nam Po district.
