On behalf of the Central Inspection Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Tran Van Ron, member of the Central Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, welcomed Mr. Chan Chun Sing and the high-ranking delegation of the Singapore People's Action Party to visit and work in Vietnam. This visit to Vietnam by Mr. Chan Chun Sing and the delegation contributes to concretizing the common perception of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, wishing to strengthen political trust, creating a foundation for developing the relationship between the two countries in depth.
At the reception, Comrade Tran Van Ron introduced to the delegation some outstanding information about Vietnam's socio-economic development results, the Party's inspection and supervision work and the role, functions and tasks of the Central Inspection Commission.
With the solidarity, unity, and drastic participation of the entire political system, under the direct and regular leadership of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam has carried out a revolution to streamline the organizational apparatus, the political system, efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency, merge provincial administrative units, and implement a two-level local government. Vietnam's socio-economic situation has recently achieved many important results in all aspects and fields.
The work of inspection, supervision, party discipline, the fight against, prevention, suppression and pushing back corruption, negativity, “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party has made an important contribution to the work of Party building and rectification, maintaining discipline, strengthening solidarity and unity, enhancing the prestige of the Party, and consolidating the people’s trust in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. At the same time, it has contributed to the effective implementation of the international conventions to which Vietnam has been an active member in recent years.
The Vietnam - Singapore Strategic Partnership has developed well. The highlight was the official visit to Singapore by General Secretary To Lam on March 11-13, 2025. The two countries issued a Joint Statement upgrading their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Immediately afterwards, Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong also paid an official visit to Vietnam on March 25-26, 2025. Vietnam is Singapore's fourth trading partner in ASEAN. Singapore is currently the largest ASEAN investor in Vietnam, ranking 2nd out of 147 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.
Cooperation in education and human resource training is a bright spot in the Vietnam-Singapore bilateral relationship. Regarding the Party Inspection Sector alone, the two countries' Foreign Ministries signed an Agreement on a research program for mid- and high-ranking officials of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the 2011-2013 period. Under this program, Singapore supported the organization of three training courses on anti-corruption for 60 officials of the Central Inspection Commission and provincial and municipal Party Committees.
Mr. Chan Chun Sing expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the leaders of the Central Inspection Commission, and informed that the purpose of the delegation's visit was to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam on all Party, State and people-to-people channels. Impressed by the achievements Vietnam has made in recent times, especially in maintaining political stability and socio-economic development, Mr. Chan Chun Sing emphasized that the two countries have many similarities in strategic interests, policy priorities as well as trust, closeness, and ease in sharing bilateral issues as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern. At the same time, he shared some experiences in the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity and waste that are being implemented in Singapore in general as well as within the Singapore People's Action Party.

On the basis of the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and Singapore, comrade Tran Van Ron suggested that the Singapore People's Action Party and the Singapore Government continue to strengthen cooperation, connection and mutual understanding through delegation exchanges, exchanges and sharing of experiences in Party building, improving leadership capacity; promote coordination, support training and fostering courses on anti-corruption, anti-waste, application of information technology, digital transformation and building a database for the Party Inspection Sector of Vietnam, creating a strong driving force to contribute to bringing the relationship between the two countries to increasingly solid development, to new heights in the future.
