Opening of the preparatory session of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030

On the afternoon of September 25, at the Provincial Conference Center, the 16th Provincial Party Congress of Quang Ninh, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session.

The congress was chaired by comrades: Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee; Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hoi, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province.

Also attending the congress were leaders of departments and bureaus under the Central Party Committees; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and 366 official delegates representing 104,000 party members of 59 provincial party committees.

Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province chaired the preparatory session.

At the preparatory session, the congress elected: the Presidium; the Secretariat; the Delegate Qualification Examination Board. Accordingly, the delegates elected the Congress Presidium consisting of 11 comrades; the Secretariat consisting of 3 comrades; and the Delegate Qualification Examination Board consisting of 5 comrades.

The Presidium includes comrades: Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee; Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vi Ngoc Bich, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Duc Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vu Van Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hoi, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province; Nguyen Hong Duong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Diep Van Chien, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Next, the Congress Presidium approved the program, rules and regulations of the congress; reported on the synthesis of opinions and contributions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; oriented the discussion and divided into discussion groups; discussed in groups the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and documents to be submitted to the 16th Provincial Party Congress.

Tomorrow (September 26), the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress will hold its official session.
