On the afternoon of September 8, at the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum, the opening ceremony of the Soviet Nghe Tinh Exhibition House, the opening of the exhibition "Aspiration for Freedom" and a discussion meeting with relatives of Soviet Nghe Tinh soldiers took place.
This is a key activity of profound political , cultural and historical significance, part of a series of events commemorating the 95th anniversary of the 1930-1931 revolutionary climax and the Nghe Tinh Soviet.
The Nghe Tinh Soviet Exhibition House at Nghe An Museum - Nghe Tinh Soviet was upgraded in December 2024, following a modern museological approach, with a display system, lighting, sound and interactive explanation tools.
After 8 months of construction, the project was completed with a spacious and lively appearance, promising to become a typical destination in the journey to learn about the revolutionary tradition of Nghe An land, the origin of the heroic struggles of the nation.
Not only a space to preserve and introduce artifacts, the Exhibition House is also expected to be a "historical school" for the young generation, where visitors and people can find inspiration, pride and responsibility in preserving and promoting the noble values that our ancestors left behind.
Within the framework of the event, the theme "Aspiration for Freedom" was opened, bringing nearly 100 valuable documents and images by the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board in collaboration with the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum .
The exhibition is divided into three parts: Chains - Wings in the Night - Timeless Imprints , authentically recreating the lives and fighting spirit of communists imprisoned in colonial prisons.
Even in harsh prison conditions, they still maintained their faith, united, turned the prison into a "revolutionary school", sowing the seeds of indomitable will and desire for freedom.
Each photo and each exhibit not only tells a historical story, but also reminds viewers of the great spiritual strength that helped generations of Vietnamese communists overcome their chains, and then dedicate and sacrifice for the ideal of national independence.
The emotional highlight of the program was the meeting with relatives of Nghe Tinh Soviet soldiers.
Descendants of those who participated in the revolutionary movement such as Nguyen Truong Khoat, Vo Van Dong, Dau Du (Dau Gia), Ton Gia Tinh, Nguyen Thi Khuong, Nguyen The Lam, Tran Huu Quan... shared memories kept in their families.
The simple but proud stories about the steadfast spirit, the close comradeship, and the sacrifices for the Fatherland of our ancestors were told, making the atmosphere of the meeting solemn but also warm and close. That is the vivid memory, extending the history from the previous generation to today's generation.
The opening ceremony of the Exhibition House, the opening of the thematic exhibition and the meeting with relatives of Nghe Tinh Soviet soldiers are not only an opportunity to show gratitude and commemorate the contributions of revolutionary predecessors, but also contribute to spreading pride and fostering a sense of responsibility in every citizen, especially the young generation.
In the current context, when the country's construction and development is entering a new phase, looking back at the heroic pages of history and recalling the indomitable tradition of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement is becoming increasingly necessary.
That is not only a valuable spiritual heritage, but also a driving force, a "fire" that urges today's generation to continue to strive, maintain their mettle, their aspiration for independence and freedom, and their aspiration for strong development.
