Opening of Son La Testing Center

On November 25, VTED English Company cooperated with the British Council to inaugurate the Son La Testing Center. Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, leaders of Thuan Chau district, the City, and the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities.

Delegates were introduced to the British Council, the UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, which provides testing services, including IELTS (the world's most popular English language test for higher education and global migration) and Aptis ESOL (a computer-based English proficiency test in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The British Council, together with VTED English, are approved by the Ministry of Education and Training to administer international English exams, such as IELTS and Aptis ESOL.

Son La Testing Center, represented by VTED English Company, will coordinate with the British Council to organize IELTS preparation classes for students, officials, teachers and those who need to learn English in the province in online and in-person forms with 32-hour, 64-hour and 128-hour training courses. At the same time, organize exams to test and evaluate English language proficiency according to international standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Director of the Department of Education and Training, hoped that the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities would closely coordinate with the Center in the coming time so that teachers and students of schools have the opportunity to access the curriculum and exams according to international standards, contributing to improving the quality of the teaching staff, meeting the requirements of educational innovation.
