On October 24, in Tan Dong Hiep ward, the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross organized a program to provide specialized eye examinations and give gifts to the elderly and people in difficult circumstances in the area.

At the program, more than 500 elderly people and people in difficult circumstances were examined, checked and screened for eye diseases by doctors of Saigon Ngo Gia Tu Eye Hospital and Saigon Binh Duong Eye Hospital, and given free medicine.
On this occasion, 200 disadvantaged people received gifts of necessities such as rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and seasoning powder. The total value of the program is 300 million VND.
