1. Dragon Bridge – The shining spirit in the middle of Han River
No bridge is as iconic as Dragon Bridge. Inaugurated in 2013, it is about 666m long, designed to curve like a dragon reaching out to the sea, expressing the aspirations of the youthful port city. At night, about 15,000 LED lights cover the Dragon in a brilliant, shimmering coat like a “Golden Dragon”.
In particular, every weekend (Saturday and Sunday), at 9pm, the bridge spits fire for 2 minutes and water for 3 minutes, creating an impressive performance, attracting both tourists and locals. This is a unique check-in point, not to be missed when coming to Da Nang .
2. Han River Bridge – Mark of the times
The first swing bridge designed by Vietnamese (started in 1997, inaugurated in 2000), about 488m long, 12-13m wide, connecting Hai Chau - Son Tra districts. Although it has given the spotlight to the Dragon in terms of grandeur, the Han River Bridge still maintains its graceful, intimate position. Every night, the bridge rotates 90° between 0-1 am to allow boats to pass, preserving the ancient beauty in the heart of a dynamic city. For young tourists, the image of the swing bridge is a "must-try" experience when coming to Da Nang.
3. Tran Thi Ly Bridge – A sail in the heart of the city
With the shape of a sail in the wind, Tran Thi Ly Bridge was rebuilt in 2010, 731m long, 34.5m wide. The 3D cable-stayed architecture and LED lighting system turn the bridge into a modern symbol of Da Nang. At night, the lights shine down on the river, creating a shimmering, gentle space, popular as a backdrop for wedding photos or check-in.
4. Thuan Phuoc Bridge – The longest suspension bridge in Vietnam
Connecting the mainland with Tien Sa Port - the entrance to Son Tra Peninsula, Thuan Phuoc Bridge was inaugurated in 2009 with outstanding length (1,850m total length of the project). As the longest suspension bridge in the country, this "girl" carries the Da Nang sunset down to the sea, becoming a romantic background every afternoon after work.
5. Nguyen Van Troi Bridge – Historical and cultural heritage
Built in 1965 by the US, it was originally a steel arch bridge for the war. After renovation, it became a pedestrian bridge, with a nostalgic design and a rustic yellow paint. The bridge is small but holds memories, a place for people to relax and walk.
6. Golden Bridge (Hand Bridge) – Silk strip in the clouds in Ba Na
Not spanning the river but located on the top of Ba Na (1,414m), the Golden Bridge stands out with two "ancient tree hands" supporting the gold-plated bridge, about 150m long and 5m wide. Opened in mid-2018, the bridge quickly became a new symbol of Da Nang tourism, appearing in "beautiful bridges in the world" such as Insider (USA), Daily Mail (UK). Walking among the clouds, looking out at nature, visitors feel like "walking on clouds", enjoying the magical beauty of the great forest.
7. Love Bridge – A small corner for couples
Located near the Han River and Dragon Bridges, the Love Bridge is reserved for pedestrians only, with thousands of love locks “hanging” on the railings. A familiar place for couples, where they take photos and record romantic memories, filled with love.
Da Nang truly deserves the title of “City of Bridges”. Each bridge is an urban symbol, a space for enjoyment and a cultural destination. From the majestic Dragon Bridge, the graceful Han River, to the delicate Tran Thi Ly, the proud Thuan Phuoc, the dreamy Golden Bridge; then the sweet Love and the memorable Nguyen Van Troi – all create a colorful picture, contributing to the soul of Da Nang city./.
