Sam Son summer tourism products boom
According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, in the first 6 months of this year, the whole province welcomed nearly 9.8 million visitors, an increase of 16% over the same period in 2023; total tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 20,000 billion VND, an increase of 30% over the same period. Of which, visitors to Sam Son accounted for more than 65% of the total number of visitors to Thanh Hoa , the rate of staying guests increased by more than 30% over the same period.
Ms. Minh Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “When we first set foot in Sam Son Beach Square, my family and I were ‘wow’ because it was so beautiful. It truly is a ‘miniature corner of Singapore’. I didn’t think Sam Son would change so quickly after only 3 years of returning.”

Sam Son is becoming increasingly attractive to tourists thanks to new tourism products that have begun to be exploited this summer. Notably, the Sea Square and the Sam Son City Festival Landscape Axis invested by Sun Group Corporation with the largest scale in Vietnam, were inaugurated at the end of April. This well-invested public space attracted more than 300,000 people to watch the opening night of the Sam Son Sea Tourism Festival 2024 with a spectacular fireworks display.

Along with the sea square, the Water Park of the Sun World Sam Son Entertainment Complex was officially put into operation and exploited on June 30, creating a strong boost for tourism in the coastal city. Within just over 1 hour of opening, the water park welcomed more than 4,000 visitors, partly showing the eagerness and anticipation of the locals and tourists for this destination.
Mr. Le Trung Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Sam Son City Party Committee, said: “We highly appreciate the efforts of Sun Group in launching Sam Son Water Park right at the peak of summer tourism. This will be a strategic product, a highlight of Sam Son tourism this year and the following years, contributing significantly to attracting more tourists, extending their stay and increasing their spending when coming to the city.”

The park is open to visitors from 8:00 to 18:30 every day.
In particular, on the occasion of the first summer tourist season, Sam Son Water Park applies a special price policy for all days of the week, regardless of weekends. Accordingly, the ticket price for adults is 350,000 VND, for children is 250,000 VND for out-of-province visitors. For Thanh Hoa residents, the park applies a price of 250,000 VND for adults and 200,000 VND for children.
The ticket policy for locals applies to guests with identification documents proving permanent residence in Thanh Hoa and must authenticate with FaceID at the gate. Documents to bring: For Adults: Hard copy of Citizen ID/ID card. For Children: Hard copy of birth certificate or photo. In addition, visitors can also enjoy a 5% discount when purchasing tickets online at the website: booking.sunworld.vn.

Mr. Tran Van Minh, Director of Sam Son Water Park, recommends that visitors should buy tickets directly at the park's ticket counter, through the official website or reputable agents to avoid buying fake tickets or used tickets from bad guys, ensuring a more complete experience.
Along with the Water Park, visitors should not miss the shopping and entertainment experience at the colorful night market and the bustling commercial townhouses at Sam Son Beach Square and watch the unique water music show that takes place every evening (except Sunday).
With increasingly improved infrastructure and new experiences, Sam Son tourism is forecast to continue to boom and become a destination rich in experiences throughout the four seasons, aiming to welcome 8.5 million visitors this year and 10 million visitors in the near future.
