Quang Binh - "Kingdom" of caves
Quang Binh has continuous limestone mountains with few fractures. Therefore, the caves are long, even up to several tens of kilometers, creating many of the largest cave chambers in the world . According to many experts, about 460 million years ago, marine bones and shells sank to the bottom of the ocean. Calcium minerals combined with seawater to form Calcium Carbonate with low solubility. Millions of years of change change and form sedimentary layers. Rainwater erodes limestone, seeps into cracks and flows down, gradually dissolving with the limestone layer. Over millions of years, these cracks are eroded to form caves. Quang Binh caves have been put into tourism exploitation .
