In Harmony County, Nevada, USA, there was a boy named Kevin Baugh whose childhood dream was to build his own country. At that time, he had a group of like-minded friends with the goal of building a country in the future.

Kevin later became a soldier serving in the US army and never gave up on this dream. After being discharged from the army, he and a childhood friend set out to build their own country. On May 26, 1977, the two declared the establishment of the Great Waterstein Republic on a small piece of land, his friend became king and Kevin became prime minister .

But in 1999, Kevin's friend left the country, so Kevin changed the country's name to "Republic of Molossia" and became president himself.

When the country was newly founded, Kevin designed his own flag. The flag of the Republic of Molossia has three colors: blue, white, and green, which represent the sky, the desert, and the mountains.

But Kevin, the president of Molossia, is not concerned about whether others recognize his country or not. “I like diplomacy but in an informal environment, where we do not need to establish diplomacy in a rigid way but use a softer approach to realize our aspirations to build our own country,” he said.
