Urgently organize the appraisal of the feasibility study report of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035

(laichau.gov.vn) On the afternoon of August 13, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting with ministries and branches on the progress of developing a feasibility study report for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period.

At the meeting, the ministries agreed to assign the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the agency in charge of appraising the Program's Feasibility Study Report and deciding on Program investment in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 90/2025/QH15 (effective from July 1, 2025).

The Ministry of Finance closely coordinates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the process of implementing the appraisal and related contents, and is responsible for handing over the Program's Feasibility Study Report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Ministry of Home Affairs guides the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the organization and personnel of the Agency assisting the Steering Committee of the National Target Program on Culture after the Program is approved by the competent authority.

Ministries and branches that are members of the State Appraisal Council according to Decision 1182/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2025 urgently provide comments on the Program appraisal dossier and plan (sent by the Ministry of Finance) and send them to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before August 20. At the same time, they are responsible for actively coordinating with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in work related to the Program, ensuring requirements and objectives.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this is a major policy of the Party and State to solve urgent and long-term issues in cultural development. Successful implementation of the Program will contribute to building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity, which is an endogenous strength for the country to develop in the new period.
