After hearing a preliminary report on the damage caused by floods in recent days, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh said he stayed up all night and went directly to the affected areas to direct rescue efforts.

From the night of November 19 to the morning of November 20, many localities in the province were severely affected by floods. In Tay Khanh Vinh commune, more than 1,000 people were taking temporary shelter at the church but lacked food, many households had to climb mountains to avoid the flood at night. In Dien An, Dien Dien communes and Tay Nha Trang ward, the water level rose rapidly, people continuously called for help, many places said they were "captured" when the water level rose to 2m.

According to the Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, this natural disaster is particularly serious, requiring the maximum mobilization of means and forces for rescue, ensuring the safety of the people. Relief funds were immediately transferred to communes and wards to purchase necessities and necessary equipment. Rescue forces were deployed directly to the scene, focusing on evacuating people, fighting hunger and cold, and protecting vulnerable groups.

The Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee continue to closely monitor developments, coordinate forces, and make maximum efforts to minimize human and property damage, and ensure people's safety.
The entire Khanh Hoa province currently has 162 flooded areas in 54 communes and wards. Many families in the West Nha Trang, South Nha Trang, Dien Khanh areas... have their houses submerged up to the roof, requiring urgent support and evacuation. On the night of November 19, many households had to climb into attics and roofs to wait for rescue.
