“Green Action – For a Green Future” is the largest community program ever launched in Khanh Hoa , in collaboration with the “For a Green Future” Fund. This is also the Fund’s first community activity just over 10 days after its establishment (July 7, 2023).

To mobilize widespread public participation, instill the spirit of green living in every home and business, and cultivate green habits among every citizen, Khanh Hoa province has developed a comprehensive and specific action program applicable to seven essential daily areas: green and clean food and drinking water, green transportation, green accommodation, green spaces, green recreation, green air, and green people.

Specifically, the "Green and Clean Food and Drink" sector will have to comply with green standards and use clean and fresh/green food consistently at all food and beverage establishments, accommodation facilities, etc., in the province. Public areas in Nha Trang City will also be equipped with clean water taps for tourists to reduce the use of bottled water and the resulting plastic bottle waste.

In the field of "Green Transportation," the province will strengthen green bus routes, install public bicycles and electric charging stations throughout the city. To set an example, government agencies will take the lead in using green vehicles and encourage people to use green means of transportation such as green buses and green taxis.

To ensure a green living environment, the province will also uniformly apply green standards to accommodation establishments in the area, while encouraging households to beautify their landscapes and plant more trees inside and outside their homes to transform each residence into a " green accommodation".

Activities such as planting trees, creating urban shade, regularly cleaning up indoor and outdoor waste, beach waste, and industrial waste; creating outdoor recreational spaces, reducing emissions, and reducing electricity consumption... will all be implemented to create "Green Spaces, Green Recreation, and Green Air" throughout the province.

In particular, to ensure the action program is effective and originates from each citizen, the province will call on everyone to participate in the "Green People" program. Specifically, the province will train and raise awareness among individuals and organizations, form elite green volunteer teams that are cohesive and encourage community action.

The Provincial People's Committee will hold the official launching ceremony on July 19, 2023, at 2/4 Square, with the participation of various departments, organizations, and a large number of people, along with the "For a Green Future" Fund. Immediately afterwards, the Provincial People's Committee and the Fund will implement practical activities to green Khánh Hòa's tourist destinations, such as cleaning up trash in the Bình Ba River and public beaches, planting trees to green the Chín Khúc mountain, etc.

Vinmec Hospital is committed to implementing Green accommodation and minimizing emissions during its operations... The "Khanh Hoa People Speak English" program, in collaboration with VinUni University and the province, will also guide all green tourism activities and educate tourists about green habits...

With a comprehensive and well-planned organizational strategy and the full involvement of the entire government system, businesses, and people, the "Green Action - For a Green Future" program will be an important starting point for the green transformation roadmap, aiming to make Khanh Hoa a leading destination for green tourism in the world.
