Flight EO3661 of IKAR Airlines departed from Novy International Airport, Russian Federation at 04:30 local time on April 18, 2025 and landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 08:35 local time the same day with 370 passengers.
Leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and delegates went to the plane's stairs to present flowers and gifts to welcome Russian tourists returning to Khanh Hoa on flights of Ikar International Airlines.
The water-spraying ceremony to create a welcome gate, giving flowers and souvenirs to the first passengers landing at the landing site, and performing traditional Vietnamese art performances were also held to welcome visitors, bringing the bustling, joyful and warm atmosphere of Khanh Hoa people to the passengers on the flight.

Through the flight welcoming programs, Khanh Hoa Tourism Industry wants to send to domestic and foreign tourists about the destination of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa: "Friendly - Quality - Safe", at the same time creating connections between agencies, units, airlines, tourism businesses in the province with each other to contribute to the implementation of the goals set by the Vietnam Tourism Industry, aiming to implement Resolution 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2023, with a vision to 2045.

According to Ms. Hoang Thi Phong Thu - Chairwoman of the Board of Members of Pegas Misr Vietnam Travel Company Limited, from April 2025, the company will organize an average of 7 flights/month; expected 2,500 passengers/month. By May 2025, Pegas Misr Vietnam Travel Company Limited will open an additional direct flight from Irkutsk International Airport to Cam Ranh (IKT-CXR) with 360 passengers.
"Pegas Misr Vietnam Travel Company is trying to take steps to open the Russian international tourist market back to Khanh Hoa in the most effective way to contribute to promoting the development of tourism in the province in particular and the whole country in general," Ms. Hoang Thi Phong Thu added.
With the close direction of the leaders of Khanh Hoa province, since the beginning of 2025, Khanh Hoa province has welcomed many flights from the Russian Federation to Khanh Hoa province, as shown in the following figures: In the first quarter of 2025, the total number of visitors served by tourist accommodation establishments is estimated at more than 2.5 million, an increase of 19.69% over the same period in 2024 (reaching 107.75% compared to the first quarter plan of 2025 and reaching 21.95% compared to the 2025 plan), of which international visitors are estimated at more than 1.3 million, an increase of 12.54% over the same period in 2024 (reaching 103.40% compared to the first quarter plan of 2025 and reaching 26.43% compared to the 2025 plan) and 49,100 Russian tourists; Statistics of Russian tourists in the first 3 months of 2025: January 2025 reached 11,726 visitors, February 2025 reached 13,412 visitors and March 2025 is estimated to reach 23,962 visitors, the number of visitors from the Russian Federation market has increased significantly in the first months of 2025.
