The Cong ethnic group is one of 16 ethnic groups with less than 10,000 people in Lai Chau province, living mainly in Muong Te and Nam Nhun districts with a population of about 1,565 people.

The project "Cong ethnic community cultural house" was supported by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and Sacombank with a total construction cost of nearly 1.4 billion VND from socialized sources and counterpart funds of Nam Nhun district, of which: the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union supported 1 billion VND, counterpart funds from the district budget were 366.7 million VND. Construction started in November 2024, with a total area of 286m2; the main space is a 180m2 multi-purpose hall, 2 toilets and a fully equipped ceiling fan and lighting system. Up to now, the project has been completed, ensuring the quality and progress set out.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Vu Thi Mai Dinh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province emphasized that the Cong Ethnic Cultural House is not only a place to organize cultural, artistic, meeting and community activities but also a space to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Cong ethnic group, contributing to improving spiritual life, strengthening the great national unity bloc, promoting socio -economic development in the locality. At the same time, she requested the commune, village and people to focus on the management and use of the works for the right purposes, and to maintain the facilities in a spacious and clean manner.

Comrade Lu Van Quan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee presented gifts to the people of Tang Nga village.

On this occasion, the District Party Committee, Provincial Youth Union, and Vietnam Youth Union presented gifts to the government and people of Nam Cha commune.
