Inauguration of the Flagpole at Sun Square, Bai Chay Ward

In the exciting atmosphere to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on the morning of September 2, at Sun Square, Bai Chay Ward coordinated with SunGroup to organize the Flagpole inauguration ceremony and perform a solemn flag-saluting ceremony.

The Flagpole project at Sun Square has a total investment of nearly 400 million VND, sponsored by SunGroup and mobilized by Bai Chay ward.

At the ceremony, delegates and people of Bai Chay ward solemnly performed the flag-saluting ceremony, raised the national flag and officially inaugurated the flagpole at Sun Square.

The project started construction at the end of August 2025, 30m high, with the foundation and base of the flagpole made of reinforced concrete, facing the sea. The flag is 4x6m in size, sewn with durable material, suitable for sea wind conditions. The total investment is nearly 400 million VND, sponsored by Sun Group Corporation with contributions from Bai Chay Ward.

The inauguration of the Sun Square Flagpole is not only an architectural highlight and urban landscape, but also carries a sacred symbolic meaning, arousing national pride and love for the Fatherland. The image of the red flag with a yellow star flying in the sky is a reminder of the tradition of building and defending the country of our ancestors; adding motivation for local officials and people to strive to build a civilized and prosperous Bai Chay ward, together with Quang Ninh towards the goal of becoming an international tourist center, a peaceful and friendly destination.
