On June 3, the People's Committee of Bao Thang district held the inauguration ceremony of phase 1 of the project to restore and embellish the historical and cultural relic of Dong An temple in Thai Nien commune, to promote the value of the national historical relic and pay tribute to the national hero Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, who led our army and people to defeat the Yuan-Mongol invaders three times.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Thang district; agencies, departments, branches, unions of the district and Lao Cai province, together with people and tourists from all over.
In 2016, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision recognizing Dong An Temple as a Provincial Historical - Cultural Relic. On September 22, 2020, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 3207 approving the Detailed Construction Plan of Dong An Temple, Thai Nien Commune, Bao Thang District, with a total area of 17.68 hectares .
In 2022, Bao Thang District People's Committee implemented a project to restore and embellish the Dong An Temple historical and cultural relic. Phase 1 of the project started in July 2022, including: The main temple is designed in the style of a traditional house with a T-shaped ground plan adjacent to the forbidden palace, including 3 rooms: Front hall, main hall, forbidden palace, area of about 330 m2 ; leveling the ground, making embankments with different ground levels, internal traffic roads, paving the yard with ceramic tiles; interior items and exterior landscapes... The total cost of implementing phase 1 is more than 9 billion VND, entirely from socialized funding sources.
Dong An Temple Management Board has mobilized resources to invest and maintain operations during the operation process; coordinated with units, organizations and individuals to effectively carry out socialization work, mobilize support resources to implement and complete the project according to the set plan.
