Inauguration and groundbreaking of 250 works and projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

On the morning of August 19, at 80 connecting points in 34 provinces and cities across the country, groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for 250 key projects and works were simultaneously held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Party and State leaders, leaders of ministries, branches and localities attended and directed at the connecting points.

At the Quang Ngai bridge point, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee , Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee , former leaders of the province, leaders of departments, branches, localities and a large number of people of Nghia Giang and Son Tinh communes attended the inauguration ceremony of the Phuoc Loc bridge project.

Of the total 250 projects with a total investment of about 1,280 trillion VND, 89 projects were inaugurated and 161 projects started construction. Of these, there are 8 national key projects, 46 group A projects, 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects. The projects span many fields: 59 transport infrastructure projects, 44 civil-urban projects, 57 industrial projects, 36 technical infrastructure projects, 22 social housing projects, 6 agricultural and rural development projects, 3 cultural-sport projects, 12 educational projects, 10 health projects and 1 defense project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the projects and works inaugurated and started this time are not only achievements of development but also have profound significance on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, contributing to further embellishing the glorious revolutionary tradition. The Prime Minister expressed his pride when the country has more important infrastructure projects, from the North-South high-speed railway, urban railway lines in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to the Ho Chi Minh City Financial Center - new symbols of development aspirations, affirming the immortal spirit of the August Revolution.

The Prime Minister emphasized that today's peace and independence make us even more grateful to previous generations, the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the nation's freedom and independence. From that tradition, the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army are making efforts to break through, accelerate and successfully achieve the socio-economic development goals for the 2021-2025 period. The Government is persistent in administrative reform, streamlining the apparatus, building two-level local governments, effectively implementing the major orientations of the Politburo, while maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, expanding production scale, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development.

The Prime Minister hopes that each project today will be a piece that beautifies the picture of Vietnam as “Independence - Freedom - Peace - Unity - Integration - Strength - Prosperity - Civilization - Prosperity”, contributing to creating new symbols that are mentioned and admired by international friends. At the same time, the projects will open up many creative, cultural and social spaces for people to enjoy more.

In Quang Ngai alone , after nearly three years of construction since September 2022, the Phuoc Loc Bridge project has been completed and officially put into use. With a total investment of VND 850 billion and a length of more than 2.5 km , the bridge spans the two communes of Nghia Giang and Son Tinh, connecting National Highway 24B, Provincial Road DT.623B, the North-South Expressway and National Highway 1A, forming an inter-regional transport network, creating a driving force for local socio-economic development.

Phuoc Loc Bridge project (bridge and road project connecting Son Tinh district center to Tu Nghia district) has a total investment of 850 billion VND, length of more than 2.5 km.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang acknowledged the urgent and responsible working spirit of the construction unit, the coordination of all levels and sectors and the consensus of the people, thanks to which the project was completed on schedule, put into service of the travel needs, urban embellishment and socio-economic development of the central and suburban areas of Quang Ngai province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that transport infrastructure is the "bone" of the country.
