Inauguration of Li-ion and Ni-MH battery factory in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong

On the morning of January 17, at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong City, the inauguration ceremony of the Li-ion and Ni-MH battery factory of Exquisite Power Vietnam Science and Technology Company Limited took place.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, said: Since the Li-ion and Ni-MH Battery Installation System Project was granted an investment registration certificate in July 2023, after a period of quick and safe construction, installation, and operation, today, the factory of Exquisite Power Vietnam Science and Technology Co., Ltd. was officially inaugurated, clearly demonstrating the successful development steps of the investor in Hai Phong City.

The project's main objective is to produce Li-ion and Ni-MH batteries on a factory area of 13,650 m² with a total investment of 20 million USD in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park. This project not only focuses on meeting the increasing demand of the world market in general and the Vietnamese market in particular, but will also contribute to the economic restructuring, creating many job opportunities for local workers, generating income for workers, and ensuring social security.

In Hai Phong City, China has become an important partner in many fields (environment, education, training, health, agriculture). In terms of economic cooperation, China ranks second in total investment capital by nationality, among 42 countries and territories investing in Hai Phong.

Up to now, Hai Phong has 241 projects of Chinese investors with a total investment capital of 6 billion USD (accounting for 23% of total FDI capital in economic zones and industrial parks). Hai Phong's FDI attraction is always among the top localities in the country, attracting an average of about 3.5 billion USD annually and has become a successful choice for large corporations such as Flat, Tongwei, TP Link, Sanhua, Autel...

“The above results of Chinese investors in Hai Phong City in general prove that Hai Phong is a very suitable destination for investment and business; at the same time, it deepens the successful bilateral cooperation in all aspects between Vietnam and China and aims to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and concretize the joint statements of the two countries' senior leaders", Mr. Kien affirmed.

Hai Phong City with modern and synchronous investment in seaport, highway, railway and airport infrastructure creates high international connectivity and integration; the transportation system connects directly to China via the Mong Cai - Hai Phong highway and the Kunming - Lao Cai - Hai Phong railway; bringing maximum logistics advantages to Chinese investors.

In particular, recently, Hai Phong City has officially signed a decision by the Prime Minister to establish a new coastal economic zone in the south of Hai Phong with the orientation of a green, ecological economic zone, closely following international trends on ESG and the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions - Net Zero along with outstanding preferential policies to welcome foreign investors, especially investors from China.

In the coming time, the Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board requested investors to continue to promote the achieved results, promote activities effectively and sustainably. Actively coordinate with the city in human resource training activities and social security activities for workers.

In particular, Mr. Kien requested Exquisite Power Vietnam to research and select modern technological solutions in production that are environmentally friendly, aiming to reduce emissions in production, and accompany Hai Phong City on the journey of green transformation in industrial production.
