Inauguration of PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory

Delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to inaugurate the PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Comrade Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Cao Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Marc E. Knapper, US Ambassador to Vietnam; Ms. Anne Tse, General Director of PepsiCo Asia -Pacific region; representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors in the province; representatives of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam Company Limited .

PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory is built on an area of 8 hectares, with a total investment of 90 million USD (equivalent to about 2,269 billion VND) , with an annual capacity of more than 25,000 tons of snacks, expected to become a key production center of PepsiCo Foods in Vietnam.

PepsiCo Foods Vietnam representative said : In 31 years of presence in Vietnam, PepsiCo has built strong brands, accompanied farmers and partners ; at the same time actively contributed to the economic development of the country.

The inauguration of the PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory has a special significance , marking the next stage of PepsiCo's development in Vietnam with a larger scale, more advanced technology and a more sustainable operating model. This project also demonstrates the increasingly important role of Vietnam in PepsiCo's regional strategy, as consumer demand continues to increase and Vietnam increasingly holds a key position in the company's supply chain . The project also demonstrates the US company's commitment to long-term, sustainable investment and reflects Vietnam's openness in the process of global trade integration, especially the attractive policy and effective support from Ninh Binh province.

Also according to the representative of PepsiCo Foods Vietnam: PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory was constructed in 51 weeks, which is a testament to the determination of PepsiCo and its partners to complete the project. The factory is part of the Company's sustainable development strategy , using 100% renewable energy, including : the roof is installed with solar panels and a biomass system that utilizes local agricultural waste to produce electricity. When put into operation, the Factory significantly reduces carbon emissions, minimizes environmental impacts, and creates a strong driving force for local socio-economic development by providing many job opportunities in areas such as manufacturing, logistics, packaging and agriculture ( more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs ) .

US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper delivered a congratulatory speech at PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Marc E. Knapper, US Ambassador to Vietnam, emphasized: PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory was recognized by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh as one of 250 key projects contributing to changing Vietnam's strategic infrastructure. This project also demonstrates the strong confidence of US businesses in Vietnam. In particular, the Factory was completed on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States. The coordination between PepsiCo and ministries, departments, branches and partners of Ninh Binh province is a typical example in implementing economic goals within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Cao Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated and acknowledged the results and progress of the investment in PepsiCo Ninh Binh Food Factory. At the same time, he emphasized: The factory was completed after only 51 weeks from the groundbreaking date (August 3, 2024) and was selected by the Government as one of 80 key projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). This is a record of progress not only in Vietnam but also in the Asia - Pacific region of PepsiCo Group. This achievement vividly demonstrates the close cooperation between businesses and the government, and affirms Ninh Binh as an attractive, transparent and sustainable investment destination.

In order for the Factory to operate effectively and maximize its potential, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: The Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province to preside over and closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and local authorities, continue to accompany businesses, promptly remove difficulties, create the most favorable conditions in the process of operating and expanding production. PepsiCo Vietnam Foods Company Limited continues to promote social responsibility, link production with the goal of sustainable development, focus on environmental protection, care for the material and spiritual life of workers. Mass organizations, Provincial Business Association and local people actively coordinate, support, and create a favorable environment for the project to operate safely and effectively, making practical contributions to the socio-economic development of the province and the country.
