Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Hung said that in order to strengthen the work of traditionaleducation and continue to promote the "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh and Uncle Ho's teachings for the Border Guard" in the new situation, at the same time, to practically celebrate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), the 49th anniversary of the Tradition Day of Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard (May 23, 1975 - May 23, 2024), the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), Se Re Pok Border Guard Station has deployed the construction of the Monument "Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers" by the author Vu Trong Khoi: Theme "Listen to the country" with the image of Uncle Ho kindly advising the Border soldiers.
The monument “Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers” is modeled after the work “Listen to the Mountains and Rivers” by author Vu Trong Khoi, depicting the image of Uncle Ho kindly instructing Border Guard soldiers. The statue is carved from natural Non Nuoc stone, 1.79 m high, 1.25 m long, 0.99 m wide, and weighs 4.5 tons. The total height of the statue and pedestal is 3.98 m. The surrounding area of the monument is planted with trees, grass, and rows of star apple trees, a suitable system of ornamental plant pots, and a lighting system.
The project has a total cost of more than 600 million VND, supported by Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union; District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Krong Nang district, Krong Buk district, Buon Ho town, along with the efforts and overcoming all difficulties of the unit's officers and soldiers.
“This is an event of profound political and cultural significance for the unit, an important milestone affirming the inheritance and continued promotion of the heroic tradition of the Border Guard force, and also from today, in the system of cultural institutions of the unit, there is an extremely important project, of great significance not only in terms of art but more than that, the project also has profound traditional educational significance for generations of officers and soldiers today and tomorrow”, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Hung emphasized.
After more than 2 months of construction, the project was completed according to design, ensuring quality, technique and aesthetics.
This is the fifth project jointly implemented by the units in the province. Previously, the units also built and handed over the monument “Uncle Ho with Border Guard Soldiers” at Bo Heng Border Guard Station, Yok M'Bre, Ia Rve and Dak Rue Border Guard Station.
