Construction of Thuy Nguyen International General Hospital with an investment capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND started

Thuy Nguyen International General Hospital has a scale of 650 beds with an investment capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND.

The hospital is located in Thuy Duong ward, Thuy Nguyen city, Hai Phong . The project includes an office block, a medical examination and treatment area with 19 floors above ground and 1 basement; the total construction floor area is up to nearly 40,000 m2.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, pointed out: "The investment of Hang Kenh Corporation in the construction of Thuy Nguyen International General Hospital not only affirms the strategy of expanding activities in the field of public health care, but also clearly demonstrates the social responsibility of the enterprise in accompanying the State to implement the goals of protecting, caring for and improving public health in the new situation, in the spirit of Resolution No. 20 dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee".

At the same time, the project also contributes to concretizing the health sector development goals stated in Decision No. 1516 dated December 1, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the Hai Phong City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. It clearly states: "Encourage investors and businesses to participate in investment in the field of health and public health care; promote the attraction of resources to build and develop medical facilities, private hospitals, high-quality international hospitals; by 2030, reach 45 hospital beds/10,000 people."

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan requested the Corporation to continue to promote its experience in investment and operation, improve its medical examination and treatment capacity so that local people and neighboring provinces and cities can access full and quality medical services. At the same time, reduce pressure on public hospitals. The Ministry of Health encourages hospitals to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise with domestic and foreign medical facilities; apply modern management practices, and effectively implement patient-centered care models.

According to Mr. Hoang Manh The, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hang Kenh Corporation, continuing to implement the strategy of developing a system of international hospitals in parallel with the public health system in Hai Phong City, the Corporation has built and deployed the Thuy Nguyen International General Hospital Project. The hospital is oriented to be built according to the Hospital - Hotel model, providing high-quality medical examination and treatment services, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of people in the context of the rapidly developing socio-economic region.

The hospital is expected to be operational by the end of the third quarter of 2026. After completion and operation, Thuy Nguyen International General Hospital will have a scale of 650 actual inpatient beds, scientifically arranged with diverse room types: VIP rooms, single rooms and double rooms, all equipped with closed furniture according to hotel standards.

The hospital is fully equipped with functional departments and rooms, equipped with the most modern medical equipment systems today such as: 256-row and 128-row CT Scanners from GE (USA); 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging machines from Siemens (Germany); CV-190 endoscopy system from Olympus (Japan); along with ultrasound and digital X-ray machines from GE and modern testing systems from Beckman Coulter.

Regarding digital technology, the hospital will apply FPT's specialized hospital management software, combined with the intelligent medical image management system INFINITT PACS (Korea) and deploy Telemedicine - remote consultation, connecting with central and international hospitals and immediately deploying electronic medical records when the hospital comes into operation.

The team of doctors and medical staff will be carefully selected and intensively trained, while mobilizing the direct participation of leading experts from major hospitals in the Central and Hanoi.

The project, once completed, will help people in Thuy Nguyen City access high-quality medical services right in the locality. At the same time, it will reduce the burden on upper-level hospitals, saving time and costs for patients and their families. It will provide health care for experts and workers in industrial parks and clusters and attract people from Hai Duong, Quang Ninh and neighboring areas to come for examination and treatment.

Regarding the project progress, Mr. Hoang Manh The affirmed that the 16-month investment progress including construction, equipment installation and apparatus construction is a very drastic milestone to put the hospital into use as planned, with the highest requirements on technical quality and aesthetics. After completion, Thuy Nguyen International General Hospital will be one of the modern, iconic medical facilities, creating an architectural highlight in Thuy Nguyen and Hai Phong City.
