Groundbreaking ceremony of Kira Home social housing project

On the morning of April 19, Viet Duc Steel Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Kira Home social housing project in Viet Duc Legend City Urban Area, Dao Duc Town (Binh Xuyen). This is one of 80 typical projects nationwide selected to start construction and inaugurate on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Thi Hong, member of the Party Central Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam ; Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thanh Hai, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Van Manh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; representatives of leaders of a number of central ministries and branches and leaders of provincial departments, branches and branches.

The province currently has 17 industrial parks, of which 9 have been put into operation, attracting more than 260,000 workers, so the demand for social housing is very large. According to the Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030, by 2030, Vinh Phuc must complete 28,300 social housing apartments.

Since the beginning of 2025, the province has started construction of 2 social housing projects: Phuc Thang social housing project and social housing project in Nam Vinh Yen New Urban Area.

The Kira Home social housing project is part of the Project to invest in building 1 million social housing units according to Decision No. 338 and Decision No. 444 of the Prime Minister , and is also a step to concretize the social housing development plan of Vinh Phuc province until 2030.

The project is built on an area of over 1.5 hectares with a construction density of only 22.5%. Kira Home consists of 2 9-storey apartment blocks, providing about 352 apartments with flexible areas from 35 - 70m².

The project not only meets the housing needs of laborers, workers and low-income earners, but also creates momentum to promote the local real estate market, construction, materials and services industry.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kira Home social housing project, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong congratulated and emphasized the significance of the project in contributing to solving the housing needs of the people.

The Governor requested investors to speed up construction progress, focus on improving the quality of works and items, ensure completion on schedule, meet and exceed set goals and targets.

At the same time, the banking sector affirmed to continue to accompany and support credit for social housing projects in the spirit of Resolution No. 33/NQ-CP, contributing to the effective implementation of socio-economic development goals.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong emphasized the importance of sustainable urban development as a key task of Vinh Phuc province.

The province always focuses on planning, allocating land funds for social housing development and removing difficulties, creating favorable conditions for social housing projects, especially supporting low-income people to own houses.

This contributes to improving the quality of life, improving social security and promoting local economic development, while completing the goal of the Investment Project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030.

The groundbreaking of the Kira Home social housing project in Viet Duc Legend City Urban Area is the result of the determination and efforts of the investor, along with the support of state agencies.

Receiving the instructions and tasks assigned by the Central and Provincial leaders, the leaders of Viet Duc Steel Group committed to speeding up the progress, ensuring the quality of the project and publicly and transparently disclosing the distribution criteria according to regulations. For Viet Duc Steel, business development must go hand in hand with community development.
