Vinh Phuc economy overcomes difficulties to grow

Focusing on implementing solutions to promote economic growth, from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have resolutely directed departments, branches, agencies, units and localities to urgently organize and direct the implementation of the contents in the working program of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee;

Review the contents and tasks related to the leadership and direction of the Politburo , Secretariat, Government, and Prime Minister to promote the leadership and management role of the Provincial People's Committee from the members of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairmen of the People's Committees of localities in advising and directing the removal of difficulties and obstacles, resolving bottlenecks of sectors, fields, localities, targets in the public investment plan, state budget revenue and expenditure estimates; tasks and solutions to ensure growth in 2025.

Synchronously implement solutions to remove difficulties for investment, production and business projects facing difficulties, especially in large projects and key projects of the province;

Speed up the completion of investment procedures and construction progress of projects; quickly and effectively implement compensation and site clearance work and solutions and tasks to promote disbursement of public investment capital right from the beginning of the year.

Strengthen direction and speed up the preparation of necessary conditions for merging provinces, merging commune-level administrative units and operating 2-level local government from July 1, 2025 according to the direction and guidance of the Central Government;

Ensure that the arrangement does not affect the performance of assigned functions and tasks of agencies, organizations and units, and does not leave any areas or fields vacant, especially tasks related to serving people and businesses;

Regularly direct the review, urge and handle existing problems in state management of sectors and fields: Urban; land; review and overcome inspection, examination and audit conclusions.

Grasp and direct departments, branches, and People's Committees at all levels to focus on removing difficulties in implementing investment projects, difficulties of enterprises and investors in the fields of real estate, tourism , services, urban areas, industry, difficulties in import-export activities, labor market, unemployment, and resolving policies for workers...

Thanks to that, Vinh Phuc's economy has gradually overcome difficulties and maintained positive growth. GRDP in the first 6 months of the year is estimated to increase by 10% over the same period last year, higher than the target assigned by Resolution No. 25 of the Government and achieving the target set in Decision No. 209 of the Provincial People's Committee.

In particular, the industry continues to be the driving force and main contributor to the province's economic growth, with a growth index of nearly 19% over the same period last year.

Most major industrial products had a fairly high growth in production output compared to the same period; of which, animal feed increased by 33.5%; electronic components increased by nearly 21%; automobiles increased by over 16.3%; materials used for tiling increased by over 13%; and all kinds of clothing increased by over 5%...

Total state budget revenue is estimated at nearly 19 trillion VND, up 22.4% over the same period, reaching 70% of the annual estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and reaching nearly 59% of the scenario for the whole year of 2025;

Of which, domestic revenue reached more than 16 trillion VND, up 17% over the same period, reaching 73.4% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, reaching 62% of the 2025 scenario. Investment attraction activities have many innovations.

In the first 6 months of the year, Vinh Phuc attracted an estimated 410 million USD in investment capital from FDI projects and nearly 4,500 billion VND in DDI capital, up 28% over the same period, exceeding 50% of the target assigned by the Provincial People's Council. The number of enterprises returning to operation increased by 23%.

Regarding the disbursement of public investment capital, by the end of May 31, the whole province had disbursed more than 2,500 billion VND, reaching nearly 37% of the plan assigned by the Central Government and equal to nearly 26% of the total planned capital assigned. It is estimated that the disbursement in 6 months reached 58% of the plan assigned by the Central Government.

The cultural and social fields continue to receive attention; cultural heritages are effectively protected and promoted; cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movements develop strongly; social security is emphasized.

Vinh Phuc continues to rank 2nd in the country in terms of the percentage of students winning prizes and ranks 4th among the provinces in the Red River Delta in terms of the number of first prizes in the national high school competition for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year. National defense work is strengthened, political security, social order and safety are ensured. The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved...
