Construction of 30 houses for poor households started in Thuong Trach commune

On the morning of July 15, in Thuong Trach commune, the People's Procuracy of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Youth Union of the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group and local authorities to hold a groundbreaking ceremony to build 30 houses for poor households and ethnic minority households in difficult circumstances in the area.

The total cost of the projects is 3.3 billion VND (each house costs 110 million VND). Of which, the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group sponsored 1.5 billion VND, the rest was allocated from the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas and the provincial budget.

The houses are built on stilts, ensuring solidity, in accordance with the customs and living conditions of the people in the highlands. The project not only contributes to eliminating temporary houses and improving the living conditions of the people, but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and cooperation between central and local agencies in social security work.

It is expected that 30 houses will be completed and handed over to households before September 2, 2025. This is a practical activity, contributing to the locality's effective implementation of the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction and maintaining the people's hearts and minds at the border.
