Groundbreaking ceremony for new construction of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House

On October 3, Ho Chi Minh City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a new Women's Cultural House - facility 1 in Nhieu Loc ward, with a total capital of more than 623 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2027.

This is a project to welcome the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030. Congress of Women at all levels, term 2025 - 2030, 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union and 44th anniversary of the establishment of the City Women's Cultural House.

The modern project will officially come into operation in 2027.

The project has an area of ​​nearly 3,000 m², including 3 basements and 13 floors above ground. The total investment capital is more than 623 billion VND from the state budget. The investor is the City's Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.

Ms. Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, said: "During the 44 years, this place has become a place associated with many generations of women. The Cultural House has organized thousands of classes, exchange activities, and fostered knowledge and life skills. Many women have found their passion, career path, or simply balance in their daily lives."

The project is designed in a modern direction, becoming a multi-functional complex. Inside there is a hall - meeting room, multi-purpose classroom block, training room, library, club, management block and many auxiliary areas.

Not only is it a place to organize domestic and international cultural and artistic events, the project is also a training center. There will be many courses on soft skills, entrepreneurship, financial management, fashion , and beauty.

Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, Deputy Director of the City's Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, emphasized that the project is not simply an architectural project, but also a symbol honoring and recognizing the role of women in modern society; aiming at the mission "For equality, progress and happiness of women".

When completed, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House will be a training and development center. This is also a place where women can learn a trade, improve their qualifications, and participate in start-up and digital transformation programs.
