On the afternoon of December 5, in Hanoi , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association directed the Thanh Giong Knowledge Portal and the Vietnam Student Support and Development Center to coordinate with Tien Pharmaceutical Company Limited to launch the contest "Vietnam Miss University 2024".

This is an activity to welcome the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union , term 2024 - 2029, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students and the Vietnam Students' Association (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2025); to implement the movement "I love my Fatherland" of the Vietnam Youth Union, the movement "5 Good Students" of the Vietnam Students' Association.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Xuan Hieu said that with the theme: “The Beauty of Intelligence”https://dangcongsan.vn/thi-dua-yeu-nuoc/,”Miss Vietnamese Students” is a beauty, talent, and intelligence contest for female students studying at universities, academies, colleges, and junior colleges nationwide, held annually. The contest aims to honor the beauty of Vietnamese female students, especially the beauty of intelligence, talent, confidence, and dynamism, thereby contributing to raising awareness of “Virtue – Intelligence – Fitness – Beauty” of female students in particular and young people in society in general.
On the way to the national final round of this year's competition, the Organizing Committee designed many activities and innovated the organization method so that the contestants could have more experiences, demonstrate their talents, charm, intelligence, and wisdom, thereby increasing the interaction and spread of the competition in society in general and the student community in particular, helping female students connect more with the community.
The contest will be held from December 2024 to April 2025, with many innovations in form and content. Accordingly, the application period is from December 5, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The preliminary round will be held from January 5 to January 17, 2025, in Hanoi, Da Nang city and Ho Chi Minh city. The program accompanying "Miss Vietnamese Students" will be held from February to March 2025. After the regional rounds, the Organizing Committee will select the 40 best candidates to attend the national finale in Ho Chi Minh City in April 2025.

It is known that after 10 years of organization, the contest "Miss Vietnamese Students" has had nearly 10,000 female students from universities, colleges and academies register to participate in the contest.
